The Beginning

In college Amy became known as the friend that always brought her camera to events. In fact, it got to the point no one else bothered to bring theirs because they could count on Amy to snap something! After graduating college, her friends encouraged her to start a photography business. Amy & Archer (formerly AG1 Photography) started January 1, 2012 when Amy shot her very first wedding in Vestal, NY. Since then, Amy has captured over 16 weddings across the country, with several more coming up for 2017.

Who’s Archer?

Michael! Mike’s middle name is Archer and Amy liked it so much that when Mike officially joined the team, she changed the name of their business to Amy & Archer. They met in October 2013 and the two tied the knot on September 13, 2015. Since then, Michael has joined Amy as her second shooter and gear assistant. The pair moved from the Baltimore area to the Brier Creek neighborhood in Raleigh, NC in March 2016 and have been in love with North Carolina ever since.

What else do y’all do?

When not capturing memories, these two love to go hiking and play board games with their friends. They are actively involved at their home church, The Summit Church. Most weekends you can find Mike on stage with the worship team playing his bass and Amy behind the scenes in the production booth operating the switch board. During the week Amy works as an Administrative Assistant at RTI International and Michael works as a Mechanical Design Engineer at RMF Engineering.
