AMY & ARCHER

Surprise! I was back in Baltimore last weekend!

If you follow me on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, you already know that. Now, you may be asking yourself why I would head back up to Maryland so soon after moving down to Raleigh. The answer is quite simple: I had an engagement session to shoot! The fact that it was Easter weekend and Mike and I got to spend some time with family was just an added bonus.

This wasn’t any ol’ engagement session, either. I have known Cory since 2009. He went to my alma mater’s rival (at least for the sake of ONE football game every year). We met both doing Young Life in Tompkins County. If you’ve ever led YL, you know that those friendships run deep and pretty much last forever–even if you go long periods of time without talking or hanging out much at all!

I was ECSTATIC to find out that Cory had popped the question (and even more excited when I noticed he used a rose gold ring with a morganite stone). I was thrilled when he asked if I would capture the day for him and his now fiancĂ© this coming October. I hadn’t met Abbi yet, but I was sure that these two would be my IDEAL clients, and I was right!

So Mike and I drove into Baltimore on Saturday, March 26th, and met up with Cory and Abbi at a local dive bar in Fells Point. We ate dinner, went to a local coffee shop to grab a bit of caffeine, and then headed out into the streets of Baltimore for the engagement session. Abbi is one of the most kind hearted and funny people I have ever met, and she and Cory mesh PERFECTLY. Their attitudes and humor made capturing the moments so much more enjoyable.

Mike accompanied me as a second shooter for the third time and goodness, I’ll say… you’ll have a hard time picking out which photos he snapped and which ones were from me! Okay, enough talk. Chances are you’ve scrolled past this bit anyway. Onward to the photographs!
